A donate page? Isn’t that something terrible from 1992 that no one should care about? Well, I guess, but listen. Making any kind of art is hard enough, but webcomics are neither Harry Potter nor the Secret Lives of Bees, meaning that Dana and I aren’t exactly riding the road to riches and disposable hookers. Obviously we plan on supporting the site through ads and eventually merchandise sales, but starting out, donations could be an enormous help. Here are some things we will use donations for:

-Ad space: As little as four dollars can buy us a day or two on major webcomics like Dr. McNinja, where the cost/impression ratio is pretty excellent. Advertising is really important, because it helps makes sure that Dana and I aren’t just talking to ourselves.

-Merchandise creation: Dana and I have lots of good ideas for posters, prints and short books based off the comics. Making these things costs money though, which is terrible. Even a few dollars would be a huge help in offsetting cost.

-Computing and site design: I think we can all agree, on my best days I am a lackluster writer whose knowledge of computers is roughly comparable to an over-medicated chimp’s. Eventually we’re going to need to hire people who know how to build a web site to keep things all sexy and flowing smoothly. Hiring a one-shot consultant isn’t too expensive, but I’m a writer and Dana’s an animator, so we aren’t exactly made of money on our own.

Dana and I are enormously grateful for any donations, no matter how small, that are made. We apologize too, that all we can offer in exchange is continuing to make comics about time travel or the shape of Joy Bayhard’s head. You can donate by clickin the nice little button below.
