Well hey everyone! Check out the second entry from our Monster Survival Fieldbook. We’re going to be releasing pages every Monday and Thursday throughout October, and you can see our first entry, how to deal with The Creature from the Black Lagoon, right here. Talk about handy!
Hitchcock’s The Birds is one of those horror movies that falls into that weird category of having a premise that seems kind of cool until you spend two seconds logically evaluating it. I guess it’s not particularly revelatory to say a movie about birds spontaneously deciding to kill all humans is stupid though, so I’ll spare you my blathering for once. However, in the event you’re like me and enjoy exploring bizarre life-and-death hypotheticals and trying your best to “solve” them, here are two other really weird premises for horror movies/stories that you should be aware of:
- Trucks, by Stephen King. Like The Birds, except all world’s vehicles gain sentience and decide to enslave humanity.
- Dead Snow: More awesome than ridiculous, I’m just going to go ahead and point you to the trailer.
