There is an inverse correlation between popularity and quality, but I don’t believe the link is causal.

Yes, I enjoy Glee, but mostly for humorous purposes. You may not agree, but humor is such an individual thing that I don’t think any number of people disliking it can make it “unfunny”.

I wholeheartedly agree with the idea that a good fraction of Glee lovers are insufferable, and present no argument against it.

I know that I’m late. Do you know that I’m late? Do you?

@the admin/mike, whoever-why are you answering back 2 anyone?I know that everyone has to like Glee, abut that comment about “the worst shows are the most popular ones”is false. Stuff like reality shows prove that that statment is true, but if Glee is such a bad show, then why does it win Golden Globes and Emmy’s?BTW-why the glee have to be some girly girl!? And isn’t the hater one?Glee is not some bull shitty Disney show!Not all of its fans are some cheesy and annoying Bieber fans!

I find it amusing that I enjoy humor that rips apart things i actually like. I like The Twilight books, not so much the movies though… and join in on that ripping…

But Glee I adore… and still, I LMAO’d heartily over this strip. And the link you provided, or the constant remarks since, about the Transformers:ROTF, I snorted Dew through my nose reading that, even shared it on facebook… And I adore those movies.

Course I have an unparalleled ability to ignore the obvious in things… the lack of coherent plot in the transformers movies didn’t even phase me… I was to busy creaming my panties every time one of them (good or bad) transformed. I’ve seen it a dozen times and STILL cry every time Optimus dies.

Then again I am the girl who once slept (while under pain killers) with a full sized Optimus Prime Metal Toy like it was a teddy bear.

This just made my life! My friends are all obsessed with Glee and I’ve never been able to see what they see in it. To me, it’s always been just another cheesy, overrated, no-plot, Hollywood-esque glitter crap. Finally, someone who sees the light! Well anyways, love it This is probably one of my favorite Lead Paint comics

I was just arguing with this girl today about how idiotic the show Glee is.
Her response: “Personal preference. But bad singing and interest lacking plots didnt make GLEE the top show on TV this fall ”

My reply: “Just because it is popular does not mean it is actually good. This is shown consistently throughout our American culture. Miley Cyrus for example. Cute girl, bad singer.”

To which she had no reply.

My point is, I appreciate this comic.

Here’s your answer: The lowest common denominator almost always wins on TV. Just think about the success of:
-American Idol
-Jay Leno
-Wheel of Fortune
-Grey’s Anatomy

I mean I could go on forever, but basically the worse a show is, the better it will do (especially on network TV).
