Plus, I have mental problems that make games with capped-XP systems, where you have to allocate your levels a specific way to get the best max stats, cause me literal mental distress (this is why I can also not enjoy Oblivion, despite it being an amazing game otherwise). I realize that power gaming is not at all required to enjoy the game, but I can't not worry about maxing the talents I want. Plus, looking in every single box for ammo and parts (because of my mental probelms), I would literally become dizzy sometimes. I'm not saying the game was bad, because it's not. We all know it's pretty great. It's just that my brain will not allow me to enjoy it properly. I was more considering it for a game just for myself. As wonderful as my girlfriend is, I don't think sitting through a JRPG storyline just to whack some lizardmen with a sword every five minutes or so is going to be exactly thrilling for her.
